Dear Future Au Pair,

We are an experienced host family and have hosted au pairs for the past 5 years. Our children are very close with our au pairs and a few have married and still live in Austin. We see them regularly, travel with them and spend holidays together.

We love to travel with our au pairs and typically take 2-3 trips a year so our au pairs are able to see the country and really experience different parts of the US. We do require someone that enjoys traveling and exploring new places.

We do require daily driving and someone with strong driving skills is necessary. You will be responsible for getting the children to activities and to take them to museums, the library, etc. We provide a car to use while driving the children and another car for the au pair to use during their time off to explore all that Austin, TX has to offer.

Austin is a growing US city with lots of beautiful parks and hiking trails. We live about 1 km from Lake Austin where there is swimming and boating activities. We keep a kayak down there and the au pair is free to use that on her free time. There are lots of great activities to do in Austin and a lot of young people here.

Our children are very well behaved (usually) and love an energetic and positive au pair who will engage with them daily. As an experienced host family, we are well organized with chore lists to help keep on top of everything.

We are also expecting a baby in early October and I will be on maternity leave from mid/late September through about February. We look forward to meeting you!

We are looking for a loving au pair to join our family and help care for our children. Daily tasks include preparing meals, driving children to activities and excursions, general childcare, tidying after the children, and laundry.

From August to May, Maible, Mariam and Reilly attend school. For the 2024-2025 school year, Maible and Mariam will attend school M-F and Reilly will attend Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We do require someone willing to swim with the children and who feels comfortable supervising the children in the pool. They love to swim and it gets quite hot here in the summer months so swimming is a must to stay cool.
