Introduction
My name is Nekha, and I am a British student who has just completed high school and written my A-level examinations! I have applied for university, but I have a 6 month semi-gap year until April, when my course starts. During this gap year, I hoped to be able to travel and work, while utilising and developing my language skills, and an Au Pair role seemed like a perfect fit! I am fond of children and enjoy taking care of them and helping them learn. I am also highly interested in languages! I enjoy learning them, and developing my fluency by engaging with native speakers is an aspect which attracts me to the position of Au Pair. I will ensure to take excellent care of the children, while making sure to enrich their learning and engage them.
My passion for language learning contributes to a love of travelling. I believe in the power of travelling to enrich a person, to teach them more about themselves, and about the world around them. By becoming an Au Pair abroad, I thereby hope to learn a lot about different cultures, and the people who are a part of them. I also hope to build new friendships and community with people who have very different backgrounds and perspectives to me!
