Hi, my name is Riccardo and I’m a 25-year-old Italian nurse.

I’ve been working in healthcare for the past few years, starting with three years of internship experience in hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities. After that I worked for about a year as a registered nurse in a rehabilitation setting. More recently I moved to Norway, where I’ve been working in home care for the past six months. This step has been really important for me both professionally and personally, because it pushed me to grow in terms of responsibility, communication, and adapting to new environment and language.

Over time I have learned to stay calm in different situations and to organize my work in a clear and reliable way.

Alongside my professional experience, I’ve also done a lot of more informal caregiving work. During my studies I worked as a babysitter for children between 5 and 10 years old, helping them with daily routines and spending time with them in a safe and structured way. During summer periods, I also lived with elderly people who needed assistance in daily life, supporting them with practical tasks and companionship.

When I first arrived in Norway I spent three months living with a family where I assisted a young man with mobility difficulties. That experience was very useful and gave me a great understanding of what it means to support someone in their own home and respecting their space.

My qualifications are: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, registered nurse certification, clinical experience across hospitals, home care, nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities. I also have experience with live-in care, personal assistance, and supporting people with different levels of independence. My training covers basic and advanced healthcare procedures, for exemple: patient monitoring, daily care support, and first aid response.

On a personal level I would describe myself as a calm, practical, and easy to adapt person. I like to keep things simple and organized, and I value clear communication. I take my work seriously, but at the same time I try to bring a human approach to everything I do.


What I enjoy most about this job is the relationship side of it — being present for someone, making their daily life easier, and building trust over time.
