Dear Future Host Family,
My name is Alnasya, I’m 18 years old and I’m from Indonesia. I recently graduated from high school, and I’m excited to begin my first au pair journey. For me, becoming an au pair is much more than traveling abroad. It’s a chance to become part of a family, experience a new culture, grow as a person, and create memories that will stay with me for life.
I’ve always loved spending time with children. I have experience taking care of my 2-year-old niece, helping look after my friends’ younger siblings, and volunteering at orphanages. I enjoy playing with children, reading stories, helping with homework, doing creative activities, and most importantly, making them feel safe, happy, and understood. I believe every child has their own personality, and I enjoy learning how to connect with them in a kind and patient way.
Besides childcare, I enjoy cooking and baking. In high school, I even started a small business selling homemade cookies and brownies. I also love singing and have participated in singing competitions since I was five years old. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places, learning about different cultures, spending time outdoors, and trying new experiences.
I’m also comfortable around animals. My family has more than 10 cats, and I’ve helped care for our two dogs by feeding them, bathing them, taking them for walks every morning and evening, and bringing them to the vet when they weren’t feeling well. If your family has pets, I’d be more than happy to help take care of them too.
I would describe myself as caring, responsible, patient, and curious. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from different cultures. I don’t smoke or drink alcohol, and I respect different cultures, religions, and family values.
After my au pair experience, I plan to continue my education by studying International Relations at university. My dream is to become a diplomat, and I believe living with a host family and experiencing another culture firsthand will help me become more open-minded, independent, and understanding of people from different backgrounds.
I hope to find a host family where we can build a genuine relationship based on trust, kindness, and respect. I’d love to become not just your au pair, but someone your children can feel comfortable with and someone your family can rely on.
