I am currently studying Business Administration at university, and I am looking forward to becoming an au pair because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and being part of their growth and everyday lives.
I have experience caring for and supporting children through my involvement with a children's group, where I have helped with activities such as singing, dancing, Bible time, studying, mentoring and general supervision. These experiences have taught me how to be patient, attentive and encouraging while also setting appropriate boundaries. I enjoy creating a safe and positive environment where children can feel comfortable being themselves, learning and having fun.
I am a responsible person who understands that being an au pair is not simply about looking after children. It is also about becoming a trustworthy member of the family, respecting the family's routines and values, communicating openly and helping with everyday life. I am willing to learn your family's way of doing things and adapt to your children's individual personalities, needs and routines.
I would be happy to help with activities such as preparing simple meals for the children, helping with homework, playing games, reading, accompanying them to activities, keeping their rooms and play areas tidy, and helping with their daily routines. I also enjoy creative activities, music, singing, dancing and outdoor activities.
I am interested in experiencing a new culture, improving my language skills and learning from a family in another country while also sharing my own Ugandan culture, traditions and experiences with you. I believe that living with a host family can be a beautiful cultural exchange built on trust, respect and understanding.
I would describe myself as kind, dependable, hardworking, respectful and eager to learn. I take responsibilities seriously, but I also believe children need warmth, laughter, encouragement and someone who will genuinely listen to them.
