Hello! ?? My name is Maria, I’m 17 years old and I’m from Portugal. I’m a caring, responsible, patient and energetic person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and being part of their daily lives.

I already have experience looking after babies and children up to around 10 years old, including helping with meals, playtime, routines, homework, creative activities and keeping children entertained in a safe and positive environment. I’m comfortable caring for more than one child and I always try to adapt to each child’s personality, needs and routine.

I would love to become an Au Pair because I see it as much more than just a job. I would really like to become part of a family, create a trusting relationship with both the parents and children, experience a new culture and improve my language skills while also sharing a little of Portuguese culture with you. ??

I speak Portuguese as my native language and I have a good level of English, so I’m comfortable communicating in English on a daily basis. I’m also happy to help children with English, schoolwork or educational activities if needed.

As an Au Pair, I’m looking for a family that values good communication, respect and a friendly atmosphere. I would be happy to help with childcare, school or nursery routines, preparing simple meals for the children, playing with them, helping with homework, going for walks or activities and doing light household tasks related to the children.

I consider myself affectionate and playful with children, but also responsible when it comes to rules, safety and routines. I understand that trusting someone with your children is a very important decision, so I always want parents to feel comfortable communicating openly with me about their expectations.

I would love to find a family where we can create a positive experience together and where I can feel like an older sister to the children rather than simply an employee. ??
