I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Studies from Manchester University (UK), a Higher Diploma in Counselling Studies from Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors and a Diploma in Social work and Social development from the University of Nairobi. In addition, I have acquired training and facilitation skills from various organisations that I have been privileged to work with. I am a team player and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
I am single parent, I have raised my two independent daughters and worked as a Social worker and Psycho-therapist for both children and adults in Kenya. I have dedicated myself to the servitude of others and I believe this is what makes me special as I have honed the ability to be resourceful, attentive and empathetic.
During my work tenure, I worked with several street families to rescue vulnerable children, source support for their families, and liaise with necessary institution in support of individual cases. Not to mention the numerous Psycho-therapy sessions I have conducted successfully with individuals and groups.
It is through all these experiences and through my personal life that I have become more resilient and patient in working with children, diverse communities and people who come from different walks of life.
