Introduction
My name is January, and I am a 20-year-old from Philippines. I speak English not that fluent, and I am practicing your language for us to communicate properly. I have a valid passport, no criminal record, no tattoos or other piercings than ear piercings, and I am in good health. I am currently studying Social Works, and I plan to continue my studies after my au pair experience.
One of the main reasons I want to become an au pair is to experience cultural exchange. I look forward to becoming part of your family's daily life, learning about your traditions, improving my language skills, and sharing my own culture with you. I hope to create wonderful memories together while providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment for your children.
My Childcare Experience
I have over 8 years of babysitting experience caring for children of different ages. During this time I have learned how to keep children safe, entertained, and happy while respecting their routines and parents' wishes.
I also have extensive family experience. I helped care for my younger siblings throughout their childhood, and I have 4 younger brothers and 1 younger sister who has given me even more hands-on experience with children, and now they're not that young anymore I am taking care of my niece and nephew cause I have an elder brother and sister also. Since I have many siblings, I grew up surrounded by children and often helped with activities and daily care. This has made childcare feel very natural to me.
I have experience with:
- Playing educational and creative games.
- Reading stories and helping children enjoy books.
- Arts and crafts.
- Outdoor activities and playground trips.
- Preparing meals and snacks.
- Helping with bedtime routines.
- Keeping play areas tidy.
- Being patient, calm, loving and encouraging.
I always try to make children feel loved, safe, heard, and confident.I genuinely enjoy spending time with children because every day is different. I love watching them learn new things and helping them grow.
People describe me as:
- Kind and caring.
- Patient.
- Responsible.
- Honest.
- Respectful.
- Calm under pressure.
- Reliable.
- Friendly and easy to talk to.
- Open-minded.
- Curious and eager to learn.
- Strong person
In my free time I enjoy:
- Reading books.
- Photography.
- Watching Movies
- Cooking, baking and trying new recipes.
- Arts and crafts
- Learning about different cultures.
- Learning languages.
- Listening to music.
- Going on walks and spending time outdoors. (exercise)
- Playing games with children.
- Caring for animals.
- Going for a ride cause I know to ride a motorcycle and car.
I also taught English to my younger siblings, neice amd nephew which helped me develop patience and communication skills.
What I Can Offer Your Family
As your au pair, I will:
- Take excellent care of your children.
- Be punctual and dependable.
- Respect your family's rules and routines.
- Help keep children's rooms and play areas clean and organised.
- Prepare meals for the family.
- Help with homework when possible.
- Organise fun, creative, and educational activities.
- Bring positive energy into your home.
- Treat your children with kindness, patience, and respect.
I understand that every family is different, and I am happy to adapt to your parenting style and household routines.
Why I Want to Become an Au Pair
Becoming an au pair is much more than travelling for me. I want to experience life in another country, improve my language skills, learn about a new culture, and become part of a family. I believe living with a host family is one of the best ways to understand another culture while also making a positive difference in children's lives.
After my au pair experience, I plan to return to university and continue my studies with new experiences, confidence, and lifelong memories.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I would be honored to become a part of your family and support you with your children's daily routines. I look forward to getting to know you better and hope we can share a wonderful experience together.
Warm regards,
January
