I would be learning your family's routines and values from the very beginning, without habits to unlearn from previous placements. I am patient, warm, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people, and I believe those qualities matter just as much as prior experience when it comes to caring for children well.
At home, I have 4 cats and a dog who I love dearly, and caring for them has taught me a great deal about patience, responsibility, and paying close attention to needs that are not always spoken out loud. I am comfortable helping with light housework, pet care, errands, and I would especially love the chance to help children build confidence with English and see what I see in English, since it has meant so much to me personally.
