My name is Mitchelle Moraa Machoka, and I am a 28-year-old from Kenya. I am a caring, responsible, and hardworking person currently working with AMPATH UZIMA as a Health Promotion Officer and HIV Testing & Adherence Counsellor.
Since August 2022, I have worked closely with children and adolescents, especially those receiving HIV treatment and care. I help provide counseling, support, and health education to help them grow confidently and maintain healthy lives. I also help organize fun days and support groups where children participate in age-appropriate activities, mentorship, and counseling.
I speak English and Swahili fluently and I am currently learning German at A2 level as I work towards B1. I have a valid passport and driving licence and I am excited about the opportunity to become part of a host family, learn about a new culture, and share my Kenyan culture as well.
I am patient, trustworthy, adaptable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I would be happy to help with childcare, homework support, light household duties, and daily family activities.
