Letter to the family

Dear family,

Hello! My name is Irene. I am 24 years old and I am both a student and a working person. If I had to describe myself in three words, I would say I am fun, responsible, and very outgoing. I love connecting with people and I am always looking for new adventures, which is why my biggest dream right now is to live the experience of being an Au Pair.

I want to become an Au Pair because I am truly passionate about working with children, and I am very curious about discovering cultures different from my own. I am a very active person, and I believe there is no better way to learn and grow than by immersing myself in a new home and daily life.

Why host me? Because I fully understand the responsibility that comes with taking care of the most important part of your life: your children. My approach is caring, educational, and close. I am organized, punctual, and proactive; I don’t wait to be told what to do, I naturally look for ways to help in everyday life. Also, if you would like your children to learn Spanish or English, I would be very happy to teach them in a fun and dynamic way!

My education and experience support me. I have been working as a Social Integration worker for four years, which has given me tools to manage groups and different situations with empathy. I am also studying Primary Education (and learning basic Psychology concepts), which helps me understand children’s developmental stages. I have worked for a full school year in a school dining hall and I volunteered for one year in activities with primary school children, where I learned how to plan games and educational activities. For safety reasons, I also have first aid training.

Although my English is still improving, I am very consistent and take language learning seriously in order to fully integrate with your family. I am ready for this adventure and to take care of your children as if they were part of my own family.
