My name is Grace Accamma, I’m from Embu, Kenya, and I'm looking to join a family as an au pair.
I've always loved kids. Since I'm the youngest in my family, I think I always just wanted younger siblings to take care of!I've been helping raise my cousins' kids since i was in primary school, teaching them how to cook, ride bikes and help with their homework.During high school holidays, I also used to volunteer at a children's home and loved gathering the kids from the neighbourhood to play ball.
I know how hard it is for working parents to juggle everything [work, kids, groceries, senior parents...]I really want to be that extra pair of hands, to help ease that stress for you, be a fun, caring big sister for the kids and a good companion for the elderly, so they always feel supported when you're busy.
I'm a bit of a collector of hobbies??. I love cooking, photography, thrifting, drawing, DIYs, taking walks, upcycling clothes, gardening, writing lyrics & poems...but I'm happy running around outside or splashing with the water hose on a hot day??. To wind down, I usually just like sitting on the grass looking at nature while enjoying pineapple juice, or going to the park. Am also red crossed trained.
I speak fluent English and Kiswahili [am currently trying to learn Japanese and some German]. I'm totally fine with light housework, and while most of my recipes are Kenyan dishes, I'd love to learn how to cook whatever your family likes??
