I am Rosemary, an experienced Early Childhood Educator and childcare professional with more than 20 years of hands-on experience caring for, teaching, and supporting young children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education, and my professional experience has allowed me to work closely with infants, toddlers, and young children in both educational and childcare settings.
What I offer a family is much more than supervision or keeping a child occupied. I bring purposeful childcare. I believe that the early years are the foundation for a child’s confidence, communication, independence, social skills, and love for learning, and I intentionally make everyday experiences opportunities for development.
In my previous childcare and daycare work, I have cared for young children through activities such as storytelling, songs and rhymes, circle time, sensory play, art and craft, outdoor play, early counting, alphabet activities, tummy time, crawling practice, language development, and age-appropriate learning activities. I pay attention to each child’s individual stage of development rather than expecting every child to learn or behave in the same way.
I am particularly passionate about helping young children develop their communication, language, early literacy, early mathematics, physical coordination, social-emotional skills, confidence, and independence. Whether we are reading a story, preparing a simple activity, playing outdoors, singing, exploring nature, or simply talking together, I look for ways to make the experience meaningful.
I also understand that every family has its own values, routines, expectations, and parenting style. My role is to support the parents, not replace them. I respect family boundaries and routines and believe that good communication between a caregiver and parents is essential to a child’s wellbeing.
As a childcare professional, I am calm, observant, patient, responsible, and intentional in my approach. I understand that children need both love and structure a safe adult who can comfort them when they are upset, encourage them when something is difficult, celebrate their progress, and provide consistent boundaries when necessary.
I can also support a child’s learning at home in a way that feels natural rather than turning the home into a classroom. My goal is to help children learn through play, conversation, exploration, routines, and real-life experiences.
