Introduction
I am a Ghanaian, 25 years of age and I have a bachelors degree in culture and tourism. I love the act of being of service to people, but I love that of caring for children the most. For the past 12 years, I have spent almost all my time away from school taking care of children. I found myself doing it effortlessly, without being bothered about missing the fun and hangouts with friends, stuff I wouldn’t do anyways because I am a homebody. I have fallen in love with the company of kids. They make me laugh. After the first two year old i cared for, I started taking care of kids 1 or two months till they got older. I loved seeing them grow up, their little smiles, their first sounds, their crawling and walking stages and when they start speaking. They just become more and more fun to be with. I have had to take care of three toddlers at the same time at some point, and cared temporarily for a burn survivor who was around eight years then. I also grab every slight opportunity to temporarily care for kids I meet, whether in the car, at church or wherever else. I really love nurturing children and I always give my best at it. The first kid I cared for is now 17 years and the last I have is 4 years old now.
I do not have any history of paid childcare jobs yet, which is because I had to care for the children in my family and at church while also getting my education . As a result, my cousins whose children i have been taking care of will be my key references for this position. I love singing, dancing and playing dress up. I also love trying out new skills, I braid, and I love the German language in which I have the A1 proficiency currently. I look forward to meeting you, learning about your family and discussing my role as your au pair and I am committed to being the warmest and safest space to nurture your children !
