My parents have lived in Cyprus for 15 years. They are originally from the UK and moved here to retire.

My Dad was diagnosed with Dementia 2 years ago.
As his symptoms are progressing and he is becoming more confused my Mum needs the support of home care to help her with my Dad.

My Mum is 79 and in good health, looking after my Dad has become very isolating as my brother and I live in the UK and are not able to provide day to day support.

At the moment they need someone at their home daily so my Mum can rest. This would involve keeping an eye on my Dad, doing light duties around the house (they already have a cleaner, gardener and someone who comes in to clean the pool).

Mostly at this stage the main role is being company for my Mum so she has someone to talk to. The role would also involve going with them to the shops so they can pick up supplies / run errands.

With time when a relationship had been built up with my Dad the role would also involve staying with him at the house enabling my Mum to go out for an hour or so she can still do errands and meet friends for coffee without worrying about my Dad giving her some respite from day to day care.
