Job Description
Seeking a friendly energetic person to care for my elderly mom who is in the beginning stages of dementia.
Duties would include meal preparation, light shopping, running errands, driving to activities such as church and /or appointments, dispersing daily medication, light cleaning and laundry. Companionship is very important to us as our mom is still very engaged in every day life with friends and family. Mom would love to get to know her companion and loves talking and telling her life stories as well as listening to yours. She loves sitting on her porch and talking to neighbors as well. She is still active and likes to go to daily mass with her friends. She loves getting out even if it’s to go for a ride in the car or to pick up a few things at the store.
Since she has recently just stopped driving, she misses all of these daily activities and we would love if her care companion can keep her engaged in her normal activities.
