I completed a diploma course in Caregiving and got awarded from the Alison online education. I passed exams successfully. Units done were:
- Fundamentals of Caregiving
- Fundamental skills in Caregiving
- Infections, Nutrition and Food safety
- Emergency, Falls and Fire safety
- Understanding Dementia
- Working with clients with Dementia
- How Aging Effects the Body
- Traumatic Injuries and Preparing for Death
I also have experience working in hospital wards testing and taking care of patients who are living with HIV. Prior to this, I had gone through training and got awarded professional certificate in HIV Testing and Counselling Services and consequently served in hospital facilities and community health programs where we attended to HIV, TB, Meningitis, gender based violence and mental issues including drug abuse. We screened and referred cases to psychology specialists and psychiatrists and to medical services.

In addition to education and experience I have been through several related causes and I have been given leadership responsibilities. I have had the responsibility to coordinate various committees of health services activities in the hospital which included coordinating and reporting even health standards, reviews and improvement strategies.

I am confident that my education and experience have prepared me well for a career as a Caregiver. I am highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills. In my previous job, I assisted even the nurses in caring for bed ridden patients in the hospital wards, administering medication to patients with HIV related conditions.
