Job Description
This is not a traditional household job and it is not a corporate assistant role. It is something in between — and for the right person, it is the best job they have ever had.
A busy executive and consultant is building a traveling work life across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East over the next several months. He needs one warm, organized, and genuinely capable person to run the household side of that life — so that he never has to think about it.
Think of it as being the person who makes everything feel taken care of. Meals planned, bags packed the right way, errands handled before they become problems, the environment calm and functional wherever in the world you happen to be. The closest analogy: a really excellent house manager who also travels. Or a ship's purser. Or, honestly — a great mom energy, applied to an adult's life.
If you are someone who finds deep satisfaction in a well-run household and gets genuine pleasure from making someone else's life easier — this was written for you.
What you'll actually do:
Home and environment management — wherever the base is (Phuket, Tulum, Dubai, or elsewhere), you make sure the space is stocked, organized, running cleanly, and feels like a home
Meals and daily life — coordinate food, whether that means managing a chef, sourcing local groceries, or knowing the best delivery options in a city you've never been to before
Travel logistics — packing, travel preparation, ground transportation, local orientation in each new city; you travel alongside and handle the moving-pieces layer
Errands and vendor coordination — dry cleaning, prescriptions, equipment, supplies, local service providers; you own the list
Household staff coordination — in locations with villa staff, you manage them; you are the general contractor, not the laborer
Calendar and scheduling support — light EA function; keeping things from falling through the cracks, reminders, and making sure the day runs in the right order
Anticipating needs — this is the hardest part to describe and the most important: noticing what's needed before it's asked for
What this is not:
Not a childcare role. Not a corporate office job. Not a role where you sit at a desk and answer emails all day. Not for someone who needs a lot of structure handed to them.
Where you'll be:
The next three months include potential travel to:
Thailand (Phuket) — compound-style setup, likely the primary base
Mexico (Tulum area) — possible alternative or rotation
Dubai / Middle East — occasional travel for work
After that, the travel pattern continues — this is an ongoing, evolving role, not a fixed-location position.
What you need:
Valid passport with room to travel — this is required; please don't apply without one
English fluency — professional level; you will be coordinating with vendors, service providers, and contacts in multiple countries
Experience managing a household or a household-adjacent environment (estate, villa, yacht, private travel, family household — any of these count)
Genuine warmth and good company — this is a close-quarters role; you'll spend a lot of time in the same space as the person you're supporting; chemistry matters
Resourcefulness — you figure things out in unfamiliar environments without waiting to be told how
Low-drama disposition — calm under uncertainty, flexible when plans change (and they will)
Nice to have (not required): Spanish, experience with international travel logistics, familiarity with household management in tropical or expat environments
What's included:
Full housing — covered in all locations
All travel — flights, ground transportation, covered
Competitive salary — on top of the above; discussed based on experience
A role that is genuinely interesting, takes you places, and puts you in the room with someone worth learning from
To apply:
Send a short voice/video message — that tells us:
Where you are right now and what your current situation is
What the best household or travel situation you've ever managed looked like
Why this sounds like your kind of thing
We're moving quickly. The right person can start within weeks.
