We are a young family originally from the United Kingdom, with a mix of British and Japanese heritage. At home, we mostly speak English, though we also enjoy using Japanese, and we would love to keep this part of our family life alive. While we are quite private as a family, we are warm and welcoming to those who become part of our household, and we value trust, reliability, and a positive, nurturing environment for our children.

We have two daughters who are the heart of our home. Our eldest is almost three years old. She is playful, curious, and very talkative. She loves to interact with people, enjoys swimming, crafts, cooking, music, dancing, and reading. She is excitable, bright, and loves being engaged with new activities. She is not overly physical, but she is switched on, smart, and always looking to learn something new. Our youngest daughter is just five months old. She is in a happy, easygoing stage — smiling and engaging when interacted with, rolling over, and discovering the world around her. As she grows, her needs will change, and we are looking for someone who can adapt and support her development along the way.

As parents, we maintain a balance between structure and flexibility. We follow routines that keep the children settled, while also making space for creativity, outdoor play, and exploration. We try to keep a calm and organized home, and it is important to us that our household remains tidy and well run.

We are looking for a nanny who will not only support us with childcare and light household duties but also be a positive presence and role model in our children’s lives. We imagine this person as a gentle guide — encouraging, supportive, and nurturing — who can set healthy boundaries without being harsh or overly strict. We do not expect a disciplinarian, but equally we are not looking for someone who will simply give in to the children’s every request. Instead, we hope for someone who can guide them with patience and kindness, while maintaining a sense of authority and respect.

In terms of lifestyle, we will soon be moving into a residential compound in the west of Riyadh. The compound has facilities such as play areas, parks, and a swimming pool, all of which we would love our children to enjoy. Our eldest daughter will attend preschool in the mornings, so the nanny will often care for our baby during that time. Later in the day, time will be spent with both children, indoors and outdoors. We expect the nanny will first join us at these activities, and in time be able to take the children to enjoy them independently.

We hope to find someone who sees themselves as part of our family’s rhythm and who will grow with us over time. While we are looking for a long-term relationship, we also value taking the time to ensure the match is right for everyone, so we plan to begin with a trial period before committing to longer arrangements.

Live-Out Nanny (Riyadh, West Compound Area)

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and proactive nanny to join our family in Riyadh. We have two young daughters (5 months and 2 years 10 months) and are seeking someone experienced in caring for both infants and toddlers. The role is live-out, full-time, Sunday to Thursday, starting in the morning and finishing in the early evening.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide attentive care for our daughters, including feeding, naptime routines, play, and age-appropriate activities.

- Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times, including in and around the compound swimming pool (strong swimming ability is required).

- Support with light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, general cleaning) and simple meal preparation for the family.

- Help foster a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children’s development.

Requirements

- Proven experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Fluent English; Japanese a plus.
- Ability to swim confidently.
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible attitude.
- Driving ability a plus, but not required.

Other Details

- We are currently in a serviced apartment and moving to a residential compound in the west of Riyadh in two weeks. Ideally, you can start immediately and continue with us after we move.

- We are seeking a long-term relationship but will begin with a short trial period to ensure a good fit for both sides.

- The role is live-out, with a flexible monthly contract arrangement.
