Job Vacancy: Governess/Nanny
Location: Limassol, Cyprus Contract Duration: 2 years
Position Overview
A HNW family in Limassol is seeking a dedicated Governess/Nanny to join their family support team (4 child care professionals rotating in shifts of 2). This role is ideal for a candidate who values collaboration, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of three children (7, 5 years and 10 months). The family prioritizes British English (received pronunciation), active lifestyle, and respectful behavior.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 100% professional engagement during working hours. Primary duties include:
Educational and Social Development: Planning and supervising a stimulating, child-centered daily schedule with age-appropriate activities.
Language Support: Supporting English language development through structured games, activities, and daily reading.
Safety & Well-being: Maintaining a safe environment at home, participating in active games and family outings.
Administrative Tasks: Selecting educational materials, providing structured monthly written reports on the children’s progress. Keeping clear communication between the members of the staff.
Travel: Accompanying the family on trips - depends on the rotation schedule.
Candidate Requirements
Communication: British English (preferrably RP).
Personal Attributes: Emotionally stable, energetic, highly organized with strong time- and routine-management skills.
Extra skills: A confident swimmer to be able to accompany kids to the beach. A safe, responsible driver with a valid license as it’s quite impossible to get around Cyprus without driving during the personal time off (no need to drive with the kids - the family has drivers).
Professionalism: Ability to build trusting relationships with children while respecting family rules and collaborating with the home staff team.
Note: previous experience is a plus, but not required. The family provides relocation support.
Schedule & Compensation
The role operates on a rotational schedule alongside three other nannies. Typically 3 days on/3 days off, with a total of 14-17 working days a month (180 hours total, overtime is compensated separately). Official employment: €4,500 gross per month + €1,000 housing allowance.
Note: Meals are provided during working hours. The Employer also covers all work-related travel expenses, including flights and medical insurance.
