Our ideal caregiver is warm, patient, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent - someone who truly understands children, especially those with additional needs. You'll have experience supporting and teaching children with ASD and ADHD, and a calm, grounded presence that helps them feel safe, understood, and engaged.
You'll be creative and confident, able to design activities that blend fun with learning, and use gentle structure to help our boys flourish. You'll be attuned to emotional cues, able to encourage self-regulation and communication through kindness, consistency, and empathy.
Beyond childcare, you're someone who takes pride in keeping a household running smoothly - a great cook who enjoys preparing healthy meals, and someone who finds satisfaction in creating a tidy, organised space. You'll have strong initiative and a proactive attitude - noticing what needs doing and doing it with care.
This is a live-in, full-time-plus position, worked flexibly across Monday to Sunday. You'll have structure, but also the freedom to balance hours across the week in a way that suits the household's rhythm.
Childcare Responsibilities:
Provide full-time care for two children: one preschool-aged child with ASD and ADHD, and one infant.
Support and guide emotional regulation, learning, and communication through evidence-based, nurturing approaches.
Manage daycare drop-off and pickup for our older son.
Plan and lead engaging daily activities - from play and reading to outdoor time and sensory-friendly learning.
Maintain safe, consistent routines and a supportive environment where both children can thrive.
Household Responsibilities:
Prepare nutritious, delicious meals for the family (we love good food!).
Keep the home tidy and well-organised - including cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping.
Manage errands, groceries, and household logistics as needed.
Coordinate daily routines to ensure the household runs calmly and efficiently.
