Family's Introduction to Nanny
We are a close, hands-on family with one infant daughter who is very loved and very well cared for. She is at a fun stage where her personality is really coming through. She is generally happy, curious, and thrives on routine and predictability. She naps well, drinks 5 to 8 oz bottles, and is beginning solid foods. She does best when her days start calmly and when she is cared for by adults who are attentive, warm, and emotionally present.
Both parents are very involved and intentional. We value structure, clear communication, and mutual respect. We believe mornings set the tone for the entire day, which is why this role is so important to us. Our goal is to create a peaceful, positive start to the day for our daughter and for our household as a whole.
Our home environment is calm, organized, and respectful. We care deeply about how energy feels in the house, especially in the mornings. We appreciate people who are proactive, kind, and take pride in being helpful. We also believe strongly in treating caregivers with appreciation and trust and in building long-term, positive working relationships.
If you are someone who enjoys infants, values routine, prefers early mornings, and likes being part of a household that is thoughtful and intentional, this may be a great fit. We are excited to connect with candidates who feel aligned with our family values and caregiving approach.
Job Description
Our daughter is an infant who thrives on routine and consistency. She naps well, does best with predictable schedules, drinks 5 to 8 oz bottles, and is beginning solid foods in a developmentally appropriate way. She enjoys gentle engagement, age appropriate play, and calm interaction, and responds best to caregivers who are emotionally present, attentive, and confident with babies.
The primary focus of this role is morning support, as mornings truly set the tone for our entire day. Start time is very important to us. We are looking for someone who can reliably begin work between 6:30 am and 7:00 am, with 7:00 am being the latest acceptable start time. This position will not work for someone who cannot commit to early mornings.
Responsibilities include caring for our daughter during the morning hours by preparing and feeding bottles, assisting with solid foods when appropriate, engaging her through play, reading, and conversation, following her established routine, watching her cues, and supporting her nap and wake windows in a calm and unrushed way. Infant care is always the top priority.
In addition to baby care, this role includes light household and family support to help the morning run smoothly. Duties may include simple breakfast preparation for the parents, light kitchen clean up, loading or unloading the dishwasher, wiping counters, tidying common areas used in the morning, organizing baby and family spaces, and handling other small, easy tasks that contribute to a positive start to the day. These are light duties and not heavy housekeeping.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, warm, proactive, and communicative. Infant experience is important, including comfort with bottle feeding, early solids, and understanding baby routines. We value caregivers who take pride in their work, enjoy being helpful, and understand how meaningful this role is to a family.
What we offer: a respectful and supportive work environment, clear expectations, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to be a valued part of our daily routine. We believe in mutual respect, open communication, and building a positive long term working relationship where our caregiver feels trusted, appreciated, and supported.
If you love early mornings, enjoy caring for infants, and take satisfaction in helping a family start the day on the right foot, we would love to hear from you.
