Dear family,
My name is Angélique, I am 29 years old and I am French.
I recently finished my job at a nursery in France after 2 years there and would like to go overseas again to make a fresh start and think about my future plans.
My wish to work with children began after volunteering for a year (2016-2017)
in an orphanage in Erevan, Armenia.
After that, from September 2017 to July 2018, I worked as an apprentice in a kindergarten/elementary school to get a qualification in the childcare field. During this school year, I had the opportunity to babysit a little girl who was 7 years old at that time, several evenings/mornings a month. I took care of her in the morning (breakfast, getting ready for school) and picked her up at school in the evening (homework, activities, shower, dinner, bedtime...) until her mom comes home from work. It also happened that I had to take care of her at night when her mother was away for work.
After that, I had other many opportunities to work with different age levels:
-10 years old boy several days a week after school;
-3 years old girl after morning school, on Wednesdays and during holidays;
-two brothers aged 5 and 8 after school;
-a sibling of 4 children aged 11, 9, 6 and 5 on Saturday mornings.
I also do babysitting ocasionally.
I adapt very easily to all situations and I know how to stay calm.
I am rather introverted and quiet but I know how to open up to people and get to know them by taking my time.
I am punctual, organized, and responsible.
With all the kids I was able to take care of, each time there was a very strong bond, it's as if I was babysitting my little brothers and sisters.
Having a childminder mom, I have always been in contact with children and this has certainly also allowed me to gain experience.
Since my stay in Armenia, I love to travel and take on new challenges. Being a nanny in a foreign country is one that I would love to achieve.
