Good day!My name is Gladis Mae but I have been always called Mae. I am a 31 years old girl and I live in Tagoloan Misamis Oriental, a province in the Philippines.
I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love taking care of kids and their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me.
I am the youngest among 4 siblings, one already deceased and others are all married. One of them is working abroad for about 15 years now, and her child is living with me and my mom, she's about to graduate this year in college. Since her mom stays abroad as domestic worker, I am in charge in taking care of her, she's like a child to me. Now that she'll have here own life, path to a bigger world means I can also do the things I wanna do...to work and explore abroad. This experience with her is an advantage for me to use when someone pick me...basically it's a natural job for me. Aside from this experience, I am also a Godparent to many kids, our neighborhood has a lot of kids (My little friends) that I get to bond daily.
I am also planning to take Caregiving NCII while waiting for an opportunity just to learn and can offer myself more in the future!
I love traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations.
I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed with the family.
