My name is Rachel, I am 28 years old and very interested in your job posting.
I have worked with children from four months to eleven years as a preschool assistant for almost seven years, but have worked with children for a total of eleven years. A little bit of my history: I have worked in summer camps where I spent time creating my own curriculum, and I worked at a children's theme park before moving on to working in a preschool. As a preschool assistant, I spent much of my time helping children learn their letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and so on.
When working with infants I helped with tummy time, transitioning to solids, facilitating crawling and walking, and preparing stimulating activities as they grew. I also helped with cleaning, schedule planning, sleep training, and cleaning.
My last full-time job as a nanny in the US was working for a family whose daughter was 6 months at the time of my employment. I cared with her until she was almost two before leaving to live in Australia, where I currently reside. I taught her ASL, helped with solids, tummy time, rolling, crawling, walking, and took her to actvities as well!
In Australia, I have continued nannying and babysitting, and I currently work again at a preschool! I am a teacher and caregiver by profession and I'm interested in leaving Australia by mid-February to pursue a life in Hawaii and It's my goal to line up a job prior to moving! and I would love to assist your family if you are still looking for care!
I speak English and I am proficient in American Sign Language. I am certified in CPR and first aid and I have nine units of early childhood education! So I have not just experience, but education to back up my methods.
My favorite part about working in childcare has been seeing the children grow and develop physically and mentally, and I love having conversations with children. I view it as a privilege to help them learn and develop. I come to love the children I care for very much, and nannying continues to be my preference because it is more intimate, personal, and one-on-one, and I love becoming family to the children in my care.
