I'm a professional nanny, housekeeper, caregiver and pet sitter with experience. My background in early childhood education, homeschool teaching, caregiving and pet care enables me to provide you with quality care for your children, household, loved ones and pets. As a graduate of The University of Central Florida with degrees in Early Childhood Education, Psychology and Criminal Justice, I spent several years learning what it takes to provide families/individuals with the proper assistance they require.
Childcare: I’ve taught and developed the curriculum for my four children from preschool through high school, supervised and cared for emotionally disadvantaged children, volunteered to care for infants and toddlers in church nurseries, entertained children as a costume character and amateur magician and volunteered to oversee a children’s ministry for nine years.
Housekeeping: I've enjoyed working in several private residences as well as a Disney World Resort housekeeper.
Caregiver: I've had the opportunity to care for a home hemodialysis patient including such duties as bathing, administering IV, ordering supplies, organizing and maintaining equipment.
Pet Care: It was my pleasure to care for two adult Doberman's in a private residence and preparing their daily meals.
Having grown up in the Northeast, I have learned a very strong work ethic and believe in the values of home, family and education. Communication, time management, hard work, diligence and organization are just a few examples of my qualities and strengths that would make me a valuable addition to any household. My duties included creating a positive child-care environment, preparing meals, transporting children safely to appointments and preparing activities and games which would nurture the child’s self-esteem. My passion is to ensure that children learn best in a safe, caring environment. Selecting age-appropriate learning activities for children that will expand their knowledge of the world around them is important to me, including the use of music, languages, educational outings, field trips to local museums, libraries, art exhibits, and theater productions.
My overall child care philosophy is that it is much more than just babysitting; it is individualized care significant to the growth and all stages of development (emotional, cognitive, social, physical and language) for each child. My educational philosophy, which is based on the theory of multiple intelligences, is that each child has their own unique learning style. For example, a 2 ½ year old may be a verbal-linguistic learner who thinks in words and loves verbal play (riddles, story-telling), whereas, a 9-month old may be more visually inclined (puzzles, picture-oriented).
My objective as a professional is to obtain a position in any field that utilizes my skills as a nanny, housekeeper, caregiver and pet sitter.
