Family's Introduction to Nanny
We’re a couple traveling with our 6-month-old baby, and we’re excited to spend the next several months experiencing Europe as a family. We both work remotely and are taking advantage of the flexibility to turn this into a longer international adventure rather than a typical vacation.
We’re easygoing and excited about exploring new places, trying new things, and experiencing different countries at a slower pace. We’re hoping to find someone who is genuinely excited about travel too and would enjoy being part of this experience with us.
We’re planning to travel for approximately six months, generally staying around two weeks or longer in each destination, with a focus on warmer/southern parts of Europe. We’ll be traveling light and keeping things relatively simple as we move from place to place.

Job Description
Join us for a 6-month European adventure! We’re looking for an infant-experienced nanny who genuinely loves to travel and would be excited to explore different countries with us and our 6-month-old baby. This is a unique, flexible childcare position for someone who wants to experience Europe while becoming part of our family’s adventure.
The main focus of the role is caring for our baby while we work remotely, as well as helping with childcare when we’re out exploring, sightseeing, traveling, or doing activities. We’re looking for someone comfortable with a flexible schedule rather than a traditional fixed 9–5 position. Regular weekend availability is important, and our schedule will vary depending on our work and travel plans.
We’d love someone who enjoys accompanying us when we explore and travel between destinations. Travel days may mean moving to another country, but they may also simply mean taking a day trip or visiting an attraction. We generally expect the nanny to come along and help with the baby rather than stay behind.
In addition to childcare, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable helping with simple cooking/meal preparation and light household tasks, particularly things like preparing meals for the baby and family, baby laundry, tidying, and cleaning up after the baby.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has infant childcare experience — experience with a baby around this age is especially preferred
- Genuinely enjoys international travel
- Is comfortable with frequent changes of location and a flexible schedule
- Is available to work regular weekends as part of the arrangement
- Is comfortable accompanying the family on outings and travel days
- Can travel very light — we will be traveling without checked luggage, so this is an important requirement
- Is comfortable with simple cooking and light housekeeping
- Can provide references and pass a background check
- Can travel internationally without requiring significant additional visa arrangements
You’ll have your own bedroom in our accommodations. We will cover your accommodation, meals, and travel expenses.
We’re hoping to find someone who is interested in staying with us for most or all of the approximately six-month trip and who sees this as both a childcare position and an opportunity to experience Europe with us.
