Dear Host Family,

Hello! I’m a young woman from the Philippines who is excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and hopefully become a part of your family. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, and I’m now looking forward to experiencing a new culture, meeting new people, and creating meaningful memories while caring for children.

I would describe myself as caring, patient, responsible, respectful, and easy to get along with. I enjoy spending time with children and I’m comfortable helping with their daily routines, playing with them, keeping them company, and making sure they feel safe and cared for.

My experience with children mainly comes from my own family. I have a younger sister whom I started helping care for when she was around three years old. Since my mother was working abroad and my father was also working, I learned at a young age how to be responsible and help my family, together with my grandmother. I also have cousins whom I have cared for and spent time with, especially when they were around 3–6 years old. These experiences taught me to be patient, attentive, and understanding when taking care of young children.
Aside from childcare, I also enjoy creative activities such as photography, graphic design, video editing, and making memories through photos and videos. I would love to share these interests with your children through fun and age-appropriate activities, such as drawing, crafts, taking photos, storytelling, or simply playing together. I also enjoy learning new things and would be happy to learn about your family's traditions, culture, food, and way of life.

I understand that becoming an au pair is not only about travelling to another country. It is also about being responsible, respectful, adaptable, and becoming someone the children and family can trust. I am willing to learn your family's routines and expectations, communicate openly, and help with childcare and reasonable household tasks.
In return, I hope to be welcomed as a member of your family rather than simply an employee. I would love to build a good relationship with both the children and the parents, while also sharing a little bit of Filipino culture and my own experiences with you.
