Introduction
Hi! My name is Mora, I’m 17 years old and I’ll turn 18 in October. I currently live in Spain, but I’m French and Argentinian. I’ve also lived in different countries, including Brazil, and I’ve always enjoyed experiencing new places and meeting people from different backgrounds. I think this has made me quite adaptable and open-minded, and I really enjoy getting to know new cultures and ways of life.
I’m looking for an au pair experience because I would love to become part of a family, spend time with children and experience everyday life in another country. I also want to improve my English and become more fluent by using it every day and communicating with the people around me. I think living with a family would be a much more meaningful experience than simply travelling somewhere as a tourist.
I have experience working with children. This summer and last summer, I worked at a tennis camp where I was responsible for groups of children throughout the day. I gave tennis lessons, organised games and different activities, supervised the children at the swimming pool, helped with meals and made sure they were safe and having a good time. I really enjoyed the experience, especially because I like being active and spending time with children.
I’m quite an active person. Tennis is one of my biggest hobbies, and I also enjoy sports in general. In my free time, I love spending time with my friends, going to the beach, travelling, exploring new places and trying new activities. I enjoy being outdoors and I’m usually happy to join in with whatever is going on. I also like listening to music, watching films and simply spending time with the people I care about.
I would describe myself as responsible, friendly, caring and easy-going. I’m also quite independent and used to adapting to new environments. At the same time, I understand that being an au pair means being responsible for children and becoming part of someone else’s home, so I would always try to be respectful of the family’s routines, rules and personal space.
When it comes to children, I think it’s important to be patient, attentive and fun, but also responsible. I enjoy doing activities with them rather than simply watching them, whether that means playing outside, doing sports, going for walks, playing games or helping them with their everyday routines. My experience at the tennis camp taught me how important it is to be responsible while still making children feel comfortable and having fun.
I’m currently looking for a family from September until around November. I’m quite flexible about the country and would mainly like to find a family where we genuinely get along and where I can feel comfortable and become part of the family. I would be happy to help with the children, their daily routines and reasonable household tasks related to them.
