Hello! My name is Zipporah, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Kenya. I'm excited about becoming an au pair and getting the opportunity to become part of a host family's everyday life while sharing my own culture and learning about theirs.
I currently work at a cyber café, where I provide online services to clients. This has taught me patience, responsibility, problem-solving and how to communicate with different kinds of people.
I have always enjoyed spending time with children, especially my two nephews, who I'm very close to. I often help them with schoolwork, play games with them and spend time talking and doing activities together. Over time, I've become someone they trust and feel comfortable around. I enjoy being involved in their little world and watching them learn and grow.
I'm especially good at chess and Scrabble, and I've won awards in both. I would love to introduce these games to children because they're a fun way to develop concentration, creativity and confidence. I also enjoy badminton and staying active, so I'd be happy to encourage children to spend time outdoors and try new activities.
I'm fluent in English and Swahili, and I'd love to share some of my Kenyan culture, stories, songs and language with my host family. I believe children benefit from growing up curious about different people and cultures.
I'm reliable, adaptable, patient and quick to learn. I'm looking forward to becoming someone my host children can feel comfortable with, supporting their routines and learning alongside them.
