Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Erioluwa Treasure, and I am a 24-year-old Nigerian graduate. I would describe myself as caring, patient, responsible, respectful, open-minded, and family-oriented. I enjoy being around children and I am someone who takes responsibility seriously.

I grew up in a family of 10, with seven siblings, so caring for children has been a natural part of my life from a young age. I started helping to care for my younger siblings when I was little, especially the youngest three. I have also cared for children outside my immediate family, as my aunts' children often come to stay with us for a few days. Through these experiences, I have learned how to be patient with children, keep them safe, listen to them, help with their needs, and make them feel comfortable.

I have also helped children with their schoolwork, which has taught me how to communicate clearly and patiently. I enjoy spending time with children, playing with them, helping them learn, and being part of their everyday routines.

I would like to become an Au Pair because I want to combine my experience with children with my desire to experience life in another country. I have travelled to different parts of Nigeria, and those experiences have shown me how much you can learn by being exposed to different people, cultures, environments, and ways of doing things. Travelling within my own country has broadened my perspective, and I would love to take that experience further by living abroad.

For me, becoming an Au Pair is not simply about travelling. I want to experience family life in another culture, learn new ways of doing things, become more independent, and grow as a person. I also want to share my own Nigerian culture with my host family, including our food, traditions, and everyday way of life.

I understand that every family is different, so I am willing to learn your routines, respect your household rules, and communicate openly about expectations. I would want to become someone your children feel safe and comfortable around and someone you can trust to care for them.

I am also willing to learn new skills. For example, if a family requires skills that I do not currently have, I am honest about that but willing to learn and improve. I believe being open to learning is an important part of living with a new family and adapting to a different environment.

Outside childcare, I enjoy reading, creative writing, listening to music, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and learning new things. I am curious about different cultures and enjoy discovering new places and perspectives.

I hope to find a host family where we can build a relationship based on trust, respect, communication, and mutual understanding. I would be happy to contribute to your family's daily life, care for your children, and become a positive part of your household while also learning from you.
