My name is Jessa and I am 29 years old. I recently completed my contract as a substitute teacher with the Department of Education (DepEd). Becoming an au pair has been a dream of mine because I love working with children and I would be honored to become part of a family's daily life while experiencing a new culture.
Although this will be my first experience as an au pair, I have meaningful childcare experience. I have cared for my niece since she was an infant, and she is now 3 years old. I also helped care for my cousin's daughter when she was younger. These experiences taught me how to be patient, attentive, responsible, and caring while supporting children's daily routines and development.
As a substitute teacher, I worked with elementary-aged children in the classroom, helping them learn, build confidence, and enjoy school. I enjoy reading stories, playing educational games, doing arts and crafts, singing, helping with homework, and encouraging children to learn through fun activities. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and loved.
I am a kind, honest, hardworking, and family-oriented person. I am happy to help with light household tasks related to the children, such as preparing simple meals, tidying their rooms, organizing toys, and helping keep their daily routines running smoothly. I am also comfortable around pets.
I speak English well and look forward to improving my language skills while learning about your culture, traditions, and way of life. In return, I would be happy to share Filipino culture, values, and traditions with your family.
I already have my passport and am ready to prepare the necessary documents for the au pair process. I am excited about the opportunity to become not only someone who helps care for your children but also a trusted member of your family.
