i am an 18-year-old from indonesia. i recently graduated from high school and am currently taking a gap year before continuing my studies. i decided to become an au pair because i want to challenge myself, experience a new culture, and grow as a person while living with a local family.
i have always wanted to experience life abroad, not just as a tourist but as someone who can truly be part of another family's daily life. i believe being an au pair is a unique opportunity to learn about a new culture, improve my english, and become more independent. i know living in a different country will not always be easy, but i am excited to learn from every experience and step outside my comfort zone.
i would describe myself as a cheerful, friendly, and open-minded person. i can be energetic and playful, but i also take responsibility seriously when it is needed. i enjoy learning new things and i always try to do my best in everything i do. i understand that every family has different routines and expectations, so i am willing to adapt and respect your household rules. i hope to become someone you can trust and feel comfortable with.
although i do not have professional childcare experience, but i have spent time with younger children in my family, especially my cousins who are around 5 to 15 years old. i often join them when they play outside, talk with them, and keep them company. these moments have taught me to be patient and caring, and i enjoy spending time with children in simple, everyday ways.
more than anything, i hope to build a genuine connection with my future host family. i would love to share my culture with you while learning about yours, and i hope we can create many happy memories together.
