Hello! My name is Cara and I'm 21.
I would like to become an Au Pair as I enjoy working with children. I take great pride in being able to build strong relationships with the children I have had the pleasure to take care of in the past. Furthermore, I have a deep passion for learning about cultures different than mine, and what better way than being invited to live in another country! I feel this program would be an ideal method to not only gain some independence and confidence in my future endeavours abroad, but would also a perfect opportunity to experience a true cultural exchange.
I am flexible and responsible, and would be an ideal house guest.
I have strong past experience working with children. I have babysat for families before, in which the family would leave their children in my care. My duties included playing with the children, keeping them entertained and happy, as well as getting them ready for bed and enforcing bedtimes.
I also have experience as a Gaelic football coach, in which I shared responsibility in taking care of a team of children. The team I coached was the Under 8 team. Not only did I have to keep the attention of the children, engaging them with activities and exercises, but I was also in charge of maintaining a structured environment and ensuring that the children would listen to our instructions.
