Dear Host Family,

My name is Carol, and I am so happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

I come from Kenya, where family is a very important part of life. Growing up, I was surrounded by younger relatives, and caring for children became something I naturally enjoyed. Whether it was helping with homework, playing games, preparing simple meals, or simply listening to them talk about their day, I learned that the little moments often matter the most.

I would describe myself as kind, patient, responsible, and easy to get along with. I enjoy creating a calm and positive environment, and I always try to make the people around me feel comfortable and respected. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and encouraged, and I would do my best to provide that every day.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, listening to music, cooking, and learning about different cultures. One of the reasons I want to become an au pair is because I believe the experience is about much more than travelling. It is about becoming part of another family, sharing traditions, learning from one another, and building meaningful relationships that last long after the program ends.

I understand that inviting someone into your home is a big decision. If you choose me as your au pair, I will treat your home with respect, care for your children with patience and love, and always do my best to be someone you can rely on.
