My name is F.riil, and I am a 22-year-old student from Indonesia. I was born in Pematangsiantar, a small town near Medan, North Sumatra, where I grew up. For the past four years, I have been living in Yogyakarta for my university studies at Politeknik LPP Yogyakarta, majoring in Plantation Management. My studies mean I am no stranger to active, hands-on work outdoors! Living independently in a new city has shaped me into an organized, adaptable, and self-sufficient person who loves exploring new environments and cultures.
Taking care of children has been a big and natural part of my life. I have been caring for my younger cousins since they were under a year old, and I continue to support them as they grow. When they were toddlers, I was fully hands-on with their daily care: bathing them, preparing meals, feeding them, and getting their milk ready before bedtime. As they grew older, I helped them with their homework, read bedtime stories, and explored random, creative activities together to encourage their curiosity.
Beyond my family, I also have experience working with children in a community setting through my university's Community Service Program (KKN). During this program, I initiated a project where I taught English to local children and organized fun, creative drawing sessions with them. This experience helped me build patience, learn how to keep groups of children engaged, and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
In my daily life, I am very tidy and love keeping things organized. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and cleaning. I also love cooking—not only traditional Indonesian dishes, but also international food! I enjoy experimenting with recipes from different cultures, such as making menemen or çilbir for a quick breakfast. Furthermore, I am a big animal lover, especially when it comes to cats! I have a cat named Kiki, so I am very comfortable around pets and would be more than happy to help care for family pets if you have any.
I am eager to become an au pair in the Netherlands because I truly appreciate the open-minded culture, active lifestyle, and rich history of the country.
