Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is Jemima, and I am an 18-year-old Australian who is excited about the opportunity to become an au pair during my gap year in 2027. I am a caring, responsible and enthusiastic person who loves working with children, experiencing new cultures and becoming part of a family.
I have a Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and have gained a wide range of childcare experience through babysitting children from newborns to 13 years old, working at a children’s play centre, hosting children’s birthday parties and volunteering at Sony Camp with children with disabilities. These experiences have helped me develop patience, empathy, creativity and the ability to support children with different personalities and needs.
Outside of childcare, I am a very active person who loves sport, the outdoors, horses and trying new things. I have been involved in many sports throughout school, including rowing, swimming, netball, touch football, water polo and athletics. I have also taken on leadership roles, including mentoring younger students, which has helped me become confident, organised and responsible.
I come from a very close and loving family in Australia. I am an only child and have grown up surrounded by a large extended family who are very important to me. This has taught me the value of kindness, connection and creating a warm family environment. I would love to bring that same positive energy, care and respect into your home.
I am excited to share my Australian culture while learning about your traditions, language and way of life. I am eager to become more independent, make meaningful connections and create wonderful memories with your family.
I have my first ear piercings, which are simple earrings, and I do not have any tattoos or other piercings.
