My name is Aisyah and I am 20 years old, I will be turning 21 this august! I am from Indonesia, Jakarta, where I was born and raised. I live with my mother and my little sister who is 8 years old, there is a 12 years age-gap between us!
I feel confident applying as an Au Pair is because of my personal childcare experience. Since my little sister was born, I have been completely involved in raising and taking care of her. Looking after her has become a lifestyle and a natural part of my life. It has taught me love, patience, resilience, responsibility, and consistency.
Over the years, I have helped with many aspects of her life. I have prepared her meals, fed her, bathed her, played with her, cooked for her, helped her get ready for school, attend her school’s celebrations, assisted her with her homework, looked after her whenever she gets sick, and always supported her learning. I often joke that I am basically her second mother! As she has grown older, I have always continued to encourage, help, and remind her to stay kind, believe in herself, and become a good person.
Because of this experience, I feel confident and comfortable taking care of children and understand the importance of creating a helpful, caring, safe, and positive environment where they can study, play, and feel safe. I am very aware that every child has a different personality, and I am willing to adapt to their needs.
I believe that I am suitable to your family because I am responsible, caring, patient, and adaptable. I take my responsibilities seriously, communicate freely, and enjoy helping others. I truly hope to become someone your child/children can trust, play with, and learn from an older sister, exactly how my little sister is with me. It would be an honor to become an older sister to your child/children whom they can feel safe and comfortable with.
