Hi! My name is Jaina :) I’m 17 years old and a soon to be recent high school graduate who will be 18 by the time i’d like to start as your au pair. I genuinely love working with children. I enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids while becoming part of everyday family life. I’m excited to become an au pair to experience a new culture, grow personally, and contribute positively to a host family before i choose to start college. I would generally like to start as your au pair mid-august to early september.
As the older sister of three younger siblings, including a two-year-old I have helped care for independently for multiple days and nights on end, I have developed strong childcare skills, patience, and a nurturing personality. I also have an older brother who I feel like I have to take care of sometimes lol!!
I absolutely adore baking and sell orders from time to time. I’d love to bake with your kids and teach them diffferent tricks I’ve learned over the years. I love to be outdoors around nature or even just walks around the neighbourhood or city. I’m a friendly, outgoing, and generous person who loves connecting with others. I enjoy bringing positive energy to every situation and pride myself on being well-mannered, respectful, and thoughtful. I love making people feel comfortable and creating a warm, happy environment wherever I go. My only downfall is I don’t have my full drivers license.
Like I said before I have 3 younger siblings but only live with the youngest who’s 2. I’ve watched him on multiple occasions by myself, including waking up with him and putting him to bed. I was a counselour in training at an overnight summer camp a couple years back. I’ve also volunteered at primary schools and middle schools as well as day camps and swimming lessons for kids under 5.
I find joy in meal prepping ?. I like arts and crafts and finding different DIY projects to try. Swimming, picnics, or just a day around the city are 3 things that help to centre me after a rough day or week.
I speak fluent English and just a teensy tiny bit of French, mostly just the basics that I learned in school growing up.
