Although I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I lived in Brazil, Kenya, Switzerland and Hong Kong as an adult. So I enjoy different cultures, travel, art, good books and interesting films.
I always knew that I wanted to be an attorney, but it delayed my process of getting married and having a child. My job is demanding, so I've set up my home to be relaxing--- there are large windows with a lot of natural light, I like listening to jazz, classical music and salsa music, and it's easy to relax on the patio in the privacy of my backyard. I'm close to my mom, who comes to visit from time to time. And I also enjoy time on my own (exercising, reading or just relaxing in front of the tv). A live in au pair will fit perfectly if she is neat, sweet, the kind of person who is usually content, someone who enjoys reading or relaxing quietly around the house, and the kind of person who loves children.

My 9 year old son is smart, curious, talkative and athletic; so I’m looking for someone who loves children and who enjoys reading, helping with homework, and being helpful.
This is an easy job: the day starts at 6:30 with packing his lunch and making his dinner, you wake him at 7 and oversee his shower/dressing/breakfast/teeth brushing then leave at 8:30 to take him to school. You then are free until 2:45 (though I ask that you be back at our house by 2:15) . After picking him up from school, he usually has one class or other activity and then you give him his dinner and brush his teeth.
You’ll never work weekends. If things go well, we’ll invite you to join us on our vacations. And I pay a $1000 retention bonus at the end of each year with us.
