Housekeeper Responsibilities

1. Cleaning & Tidying

General cleaning of living spaces (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors).

Wiping down surfaces, counters, and furniture.

Cleaning bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, floors).

Emptying trash bins and replacing liners.

Light organization (keeping common areas neat and orderly).


2. Bedrooms

Changing bed linens and making beds.

Keeping bedrooms tidy (folding clothes left out, light organization).

Ensuring fresh towels/linens are available as needed.


3. Laundry

Washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens.

Ironing and putting away laundry when required.

Keeping laundry area clean and organized.


4. Minor Pet Care

Feeding pets (as instructed).

Refreshing water bowls daily.

Light clean-up of pet areas (e.g., sweeping fur, wiping bowls).


5. Meal Prep

Light meal preparation (washing/chopping vegetables, marinating meats, cooking simple meals if instructed).

Preparing snacks or packed lunches as requested.

Reheating meals or setting up for family meals.

Ensuring kitchen is cleaned after cooking/prep (dishes, counters, stove wiped).


6. General Household Support

Alerting employer to low supplies (detergent, cleaning products, pantry basics).

Following any additional household instructions given for the day.
