Job Description
A family of 7 is looking for a sweet, kind, adaptable, flexible, and loving housekeeper/nanny who would like to be part of our daily life with 5 small children and everything that comes with it.
We have 5 children aged 7, 5, 4, 3, and 1. Two girls and three boys. Our three boys have diagnoses. Our oldest has autism and ADHD, our middle son has ADHD, and our youngest son is currently being assessed for autism. All are high-functioning with a high IQ. They are all verbal and have great abilities, but they need structure and understanding.
We are looking for someone who can stay with us for a longer period, ideally several years – definitely more than 2 years. We do not wish to hire an au pair, as the rules for that do not fit into our schedule. Therefore, we are looking for someone with an EU passport, so the person can enter Denmark with a work permit.
We need help with general cleaning, assistance with the children, and everything in between. We are both very involved with our children and handle school and daycare pickups ourselves, as well as bedtime routines. Normally, I cook and help with the cleaning myself. We just need an extra pair of hands, since my husband works a lot. He runs his own company with 30 employees and works from a home office. I work part-time in the company and primarily take care of the children and the household.
Because of the children’s ages and their individual challenges, we need an extra pair of hands to help ease the chaos we often face.
We live on a large, newly renovated farm in Vejle, Denmark (Jutland), about 2.5 hours’ drive from Copenhagen.
We provide a car/cars, a private room with bathroom/toilet, and a lockable hallway.
In addition to the children, we also have 3 dogs, 8 chickens, 1 rooster, and 1 turtle.
