Hello future family,
my name is Barbara, and it would be wonderful for me to have the chance to live this au pair experience! I volunteered in Ireland and it was such an inspiring experience, it motivated me to become an au pair. Saying that I love children might sound cliché, but it’s absolutely true. I’ve worked as a kids' party entertainer learning how to entertain kids, and as a babysitter, learning how to care for them and love them.

I’m a very protective and empathetic person. Kids love me because I seem little too, and they often see me as a big sister they can play with. I’m very creative, and I’m sure I’d find a way to bring even the shyest child out of their shell. I have a certificate in art therapy, which has taught me a lot about psychology and how to support emotional wellbeing through non-verbal expression. A part of my training was done with children and so was a part of the service in the Universal Civil Service in Italy. I don’t have a first aid certificate yet, but I’d love to get one!

I want to become an au pair to live as part of a family completely different from mine—sharing the unique aspects of my background while learning about yours :)
I believe it’s the best way to truly immerse myself in another culture and to contribute meaningfully as a member of your family.

I love reading, writing, baking, spending time in nature, and I adore the sun and sand. My interests are quite varied because I’m naturally very curious, I enjoy learning new things and sharing them with others too.
