Hello all!

My name is Johanna, I am 22 years old and newly arrived in Belgium from Sweden as a remote-working student of Literature. I have extra time away from my studies and am looking to babysit part-time, live-out.

I have worked 10 months as an Au-pair in Italy for 3 children aged 5-14, and they were great teachers in Italian! I am of course also very happy to speak both English or Swedish to the children, as those are my first languages. All in all, I have worked as a babysitter from age 16 to age 19, and additionally worked in an after-school program in the US, and feel comfortable babysitting children of any age-range. I am light-hearted, patient and responsible, and feel a great responsibility to make children feel safe and respected- of course this includes respecting house rules from the parents and taking suggestions for any activities or tasks you may wish for me to do, granted they are within the job description. Generally I would say I am looking to work for a family that is kind, open-minded and easy-going, and bonus if you are interested in cultural exchange and languages like I am!

I am very happy working with French-speaking families, just note that I am a beginner French learner, so you will have to be patient with my language abilities, and I might need to revert to English situationally.

Please do not contact me if you are looking for your babysitter to also work as a housekeeper or cook but feel free to ask about potential extra tasks in babysitting, such as pets who also need attending to, tutoring/homework help, or if you have special needs children! I am very happy to provide you with references if that is desired.
