Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Dear Aupair, We are an international family of 4. Mom and Dad were both born in South Africa but have lived in numerous locations and finally decided to settle in Switzerland after we got married. In April 2021 our family grew and BabyGirl was born. She has been the light of our lives ever since. Mom, an interior designer, works 3 days a week of which 1 day is from home. Dad is a surgeon and works long hours, which is one of the reasons we are looking for a helping hand. Our little girl is currently 4 years old and will start school 4 days a week in August. Our son is 1.5 year old (2 in August). Our daughter is eager, playful and very curious. Our son is playful and very affectionate. We are looking for an Aupair with a true passion for children and their development. We ideally want someone with some experience in childminding, education or training, but most importantly we are looking for someone who will fit well into our family unit. Someone who enjoys the outdoors and Sunday lunches. Someone who likes boardgames and crafting. We live in a 5 bedroom parish house in a small town in Switzerland. The village is only a 10 minute drive from Yverdon-Les-Bains, which is a lovely small city and Lausanne, which is a larger international city is 30 minutes away by train. There is a bus service from around the corner which gets you to Yverdon-les-Bains in 15 minutes and a train station which is about 5 minutes away by car / 15 minutes by foot. If the Aupair has a drivers license, the car can be made available to her on her off days, provided it is not needed by the family. There will also be a bike at your disposal.
The aupair will have a private room with more than enough space for a small relaxation area as well. The house has 2 newly renovated bathrooms, which the aupair is welcome to share. We are also in the process of creating a games/play area in the basement, which will be available to the aupair as well.
We have a lovely garden for playing and many wonderful walks and cycle paths from our doorstep. The forest is a mere 6 minutes away by foot, with many forts and teepees which entertain the local children for hours.

Job Description
We would need the aupair to be available 4 days a week, leaving you 3 days a week off unless otherwise arranged.
Schedule:
7h30 Help with breakfast
8h00 - 9h00 Mom leaves for/starts work (2 days in office / 1 day home-office)
9h00 - 12h00 Aupair takes care of toddler while older sister is at school
Dresses them for the day
Playing and learning
Outside time
Prepares snack
Puts boy down for a nap
12h00 - 14h00 Lunch/Nap break
13h00 - 17h00 Aupair takes care of toddler and older sister
17h00 - 18h00 Help with dinner preparations and setting table
18h00 - 19h00 Help clear table, tidy kitchen and run dishwasher
