Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Dear Au-pair,
We live near Zurich (Switzerland) in a house in the town of Richterswil with a beautiful view of the Lake & Alps and are enjoying our two young kids (a daughter of 5 years and a boy of 4 years). As of May 2026, we are looking for you to join us to help us look after the two.
We live in a spacious house where you would have your own private area in the 1st floor consisting of a large room with beautiful views and a full bath. We are located on a quiet street with friendly people and lots of beautiful nature surrounding us.
We are fun and outgoing, both very active and passionate about our jobs, avid travellers, love cooking, and having friends over. We have lived abroad in many countries (different European countries, US and Asia). We want to make sure we will have a great experience together. We love yoga and sports, don’t smoke, and have a healthy and active lifestyle that is important to us and that we want to share with you and pass on to our kids.
We speak multiple languages (German and English natively, basic French and Spanish) and look forward to speaking English with you.
Nicole founded a small tech company and is a trained economist. She is passionate about making technology useful for society. Alexander is a Partner in a Private Equity form and works with companies all over the world.
We are looking forward to getting to know you!

Job Description
We are both working. Our typical day starts at 8am and lasts until late afternoon or evening. Both kids are in the Pre-school from morning to afternoon.
Your typical day would consist of getting the kids ready in the morning dropping the kids off at the Pre-School (at 8:30am), picking them up in the afternoon (3:30pm), and spending a few hours with them until one or both of us takes over (4-8pm).
Normally, we will need you to look after the kids after picking them up from the Pre-School in the afternoon to evening but schedules can sometimes vary and we would appreciate some flexibility. For example, we might ask whether you are able to babysit in the evenings or – on very rare occasions and once you are well established, to cover a night shift.
When accompanying us on family trips the situation would depend on the destination and schedule, but has always been fun for everybody coming.
