Family's Introduction to Au Pair
We are a small and loving family of three. I’m Klaas, a single father, and I live with my daughter (8) and my son (10) just outside Amsterdam, near Schiphol Airport. The kids are cheerful, active and curious — they love playing outside, making crafts, and sometimes just relaxing with a good story or game.
In 2025 the children will stay with me one week and with their mother the next, so you will also enjoy plenty of personal time every other week. We are not a religious household, but we are respectful of all beliefs and open-minded towards different cultures.
We have already hosted au pairs before, and you are welcome to contact our previous au pair to ask about her experience with us. We value kindness, honesty and respect, and we treat our au pair as a true part of our family.

Job Description
I’m Klaas, a single father living just outside Amsterdam (close to Schiphol Airport), together with my two wonderful children — a cheerful daughter (8) and a lively son (almost 10). We are looking for a kind and responsible EU au pair to join our home in 2025.
Because I believe it’s important that you feel comfortable and safe, you are welcome to contact our previous au pair directly if you’d like to ask about her experience with us.
A bit about our family: while we deeply respect all faiths and beliefs, we are not a religious household. We ask that our future au pair feels comfortable in a non-religious environment and is open-minded towards different worldviews.
Starting in 2025, the children will live with me one week and with their mother the next (50/50 custody). This means that every other week you’ll have extra personal time to relax, travel, or enjoy your hobbies, while still being part of our family.
Your Role as Our Au Pair
Light household help such as tidying up and simple meal preparation.
Assisting with school drop-offs/pick-ups when needed.
Spending quality time with the kids — playing, helping with homework, and being a supportive presence.
Occasional evening babysitting when I have work or other commitments.
