We are a Belgian family living in Luxembourg for 20 years now. We have a daughter 10, and 2 sons 7 and 2. Our family is multi-lingual as we speak French and Dutch at home and both parents are fluent in English. Our kids follow school in Luxemburgish and German, and are very curious and affective.
We live in a detached house in a small village outside of Luxembourg. We have a garden and the house is in a dead-end street. Local amenities (school) are within walking distance, and free public transports easy to get to Luxembourg and other places.
We are very social and enjoy spending our weekends with friends who have kids of similar age. Our daughter enjoys all girly stuff and is especially fond of horses. Our older son likes all sports, especially football. Our youngest is also very active and likes to follow his older brother in everything.
Our kids are very active but have to be in bed around 8pm. They get up at 7 to go to school, and are not allowed any screen during the week, unless for school or education purpose. School is within walking distance but the daycare for the toddler requires a short drive, hence it is preferable if the au pair has a driving licence to use one of our cars from time to time.
We expect our Au Pair to be reliable and caring, show affection but maturity and firmness with our kids.

Looking for an au pair to work within the limits expressed by the luxembourgish law. Looking for child care for 25 hours a week. Duties will mostly consist in picking up kids from school and potentially our toddler from the daycare. Then looking after homework and bath, and helping with dinner. A few evening babysits per month will also be agreed. The Au Pair will also support the kids activities where possible (football, music, ...).
The au pair will have its own room and use the guest bathroom. We provide accommodation and food and laundry facilities.
Remuneration is fixed by the government at approx 500 euro per month. We expect no charges to be paid, and will also pay for language courses. The luxembourg government describes all benefits on its website.
German language is an advantage as it is the main school language, but we mostly speak French at home.
