Dear future Au-Pair,
we are a family of four: Meike & Franz-Philippe (Mum & Dad), Felix (14 years) & Chris (6 years) (our sons).
Franz-Philippe is an entrepreneur with his own company and Meike is an optician working part-time. Felix will enter his tenth year of school in summer. Chris will get into his second year of primary school in summer.

We live right in the heart of the vibrant city of Berlin. We are lucky that we combine both the convenience of living in the city and also having some green around us, as our apartment has a nice large terrace and a garden, where our sons can play with the neighbour kids.

Both Chris & Felix go to a bilingual school (German/English). At home we speak German and English (we already have an aupair now) and some French, as part of our family is French. Felix is a lively and smart teenager. He is into Minecraft and Ark and likes to hang out with his friends. His activities during the week are directly at school, so he does not need to travel around for it.
Chris is a lovely little kid. He almost always has a smile on his face. He can play with his Lego for hours and is a big Minecraft fan as well (although he is not aloud to play online yet, but plays Minecraft with his Lego).
As a family we are very open and easy-going and have friends from all over the world. We like to go out and meet people and do excursions with our kids. We are pretty flexible and spontaneous in our approach to life. We like to laugh.
We have had experience with au-pairs before and our current and past au-pairs are available for you to give you more background from an au-pair's view if you like.

Your duties include:
- Pick Chris up in the afternoon 2-3 times a week from school, play with him until we get home.
- Do homework with Chris (he just started school, so they do not have much yet)
- Play wit Chris on the other days if we pick him up and when he gets home
- Prepare dinner once a week
- Felix is fairly independent already, so he does not really need any support from the aupair.
- Take care of Chris occasionally one week-end night when we go out. The day is coordinated with you and we then try to give you another day off during the week.
- Assist in some light household duties as all the other family members do as well.
- Meike needs to work regularly on Saturdays and occasionally Franz-Philippe needs to work as well, so you would have to watch the kids on some occasions during the some hours during the day. We would try to then have less work during the week if this happens.

You have your own spacious room with a large bed, your own TV and internet access. You also have your own bathroom. We are flexible how much you want to integrate into our family life but we welcome you as part of our family. You can have your private time as you wish, but we are more than happy to include you in all our family activities.
