We have two affectionate, energetic boys who will be 2 and 4 years old this summer. They love the beach, playgrounds, books, and building things. We value outdoor time, curiosity, and a calm but structured home environment.
About Our Family
I am American and work in marketing and entrepreneurship. I am very involved with the children and value meaningful time together. My husband, Alex, is steady, thoughtful, and deeply engaged as a father. We aim to create a respectful, communicative home where everyone feels considered.
We live in downtown Biarritz, walking distance to beaches, cafés, markets, and public transport. Summer here is vibrant and social — it’s a special time to experience the Basque coast.

We are a warm, active family living in the heart of Biarritz looking for a responsible, kind, and proactive au pair to join us and our two young boys from early June through early September.

What We’re Looking For
Fluent English (minimum B2 – essential)


Spanish is a bonus, not required


Experience with toddlers and young children (references required)


Confident preparing simple, healthy meals


Organized and comfortable taking initiative


Non-smoker preferred


Responsibilities (30 hours/week)
Childcare
Pickups/drop-offs (June/July part-time school)


Creative play, outdoor activities, beach/park outings


Occasional evening babysitting (included within weekly hours)


Household Contribution
Preparing one family meal per working day (simple, healthy food — we usually all eat the same meal)


Children’s laundry and occasional family laundry


Light tidying and helping keep shared spaces organized


We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of the daily rhythm of family life — engaging with the children and also contributing to keeping the home running smoothly.
